Rectangular electromagnets (IMAREC)
Its operation is very simple: when the current is activated, a magnetic field is generated which is concentrated in the iron armature, thus allowing any type of fastening.
Characteristics:
Degree of protection: IP65
Thermal class: B (130º)
Rated voltage: 24V DC
Standard duty cycle: ED 100%
Other voltages, ED and sizes: Please consult us.
The attraction and clamping of the ferromagnetic parts is obtained by the excitation of the internal winding of the suction cup. When the power supply ceases, the retained workpiece is released. When working with suspended loads, the relevant safety regulations must be observed.
The standard electrical connection is made by means of a connector, but it can also be supplied with a cable, the connector or cable connection can be configured in different ways, the standard configuration is as shown in the enclosed drawing.
The underside of the device has threaded holes (M-6/M-8) for fixing.
The following table gives the values of the holding force (Fm) as a function of the air gap (δL), measured under the following conditions:
- Direct current (DC) power supply.
- Flat piece (3μ roughness) in AºSt37, of the thickness indicated in the table and dimensions equal to or greater than the attraction face.
- Ambient temperature of 35ºC.
- Coil stabilised at its operating temperature.
For other conditions of use, the force (Fm) may decrease.

*On request, they can be manufactured for any size, voltage, gear factor, etc.
Remarks:
On disconnection the remanence can reach values of up to 10% of the force.
Earthing is recommended if metal parts are accessible.
Ordering designation:
Size; Voltage; Duty factor
Example: Order No.: ERM150/35 24 Vdc 100%.
C.E.- The products comply with low voltage standards 73/23 EEC. Compliance with 89/366 EEC electromagnetic compatibility standards must be ensured by the user.
When used for lifting and handling loads a minimum safety factor of 3 must be chosen, the weight of the load must be at least one third of the holding force.
Fields of application:
This type of electromagnet is used in industrial robotics for the positioning of parts, transport installations, etc....
